Best ramen in Perth? - Nao Ramen

So Nao Ramen is one of the best ramen places in Perth, according to many foodies and google. It’s always among the first ones to pop up on search engines, almost every single time and I was finally there for my first time because my friend was super eager to revisit (LOL).

Nao looks more like a restaurant and bar or izakaya with such dim light and décor. Can they please switch on the lights so I can take better shots of my food? It was just too dark to even see my food and I didn’t need that ambience for ramen.

Brunching at Perth’s iconic historical building - Petition Kitchen

So my brunch adventure continues and here’s my review for Petition Kitchen, a place I pass by almost every time I visit CBD.

Located in the State Buildings that is well preserved and redeveloped, Petition Kitchen has that classical Victorian façade to welcome its customers.

The interior and ambience within was just as pleasing and elegant as the entrance, which made this place a perfect spot for having booze even during brunch or lunch hours.

A hidden gem in Vic Park - Sage Café

When in Australia, go for brunch and coffee. Whichever city I am in, I always keep an eye on the latest brunch spots and photogenic dishes all these Aussie cafes have to offer. Sage’s has been on my list for a while but I’ve never been there because of the close proximity to where I live so finally my friend and I gave it a go before Christmas.

We chose to enjoy our breakfast at the shaded alfresco area. More well lit but didn’t have to be under the sun. How relaxing it was!

Was struggling while picking the right items and we finally settled on matcha latte, baked eggs and pancakes.

Legit tonkotsu broth - Hakata Gensuke

Ever since the super popoular ramen chain Hakata Gensuke has landed Perth, the queue outside the entrance has been constantly long. Now that the hype has cooled down a bit, I went there to see if their ramen lives up to the good reviews.

Arrived at Hakata at around 11:15 am and there was already a queue. Luckily we made it to be the very first batch of customers so we got in almost right after it opened.

It’s a lively little ramen spot with simple décor and bright red and white painted walls. Loved how it was so well lit too as it’s way easier to take photos that way :p

There are four kinds of broth, which are original tonkotsu, Black tonkotsu (with black sesame paste and fried garlic), shio tonkotsu and god fire in 4 levels of spiciness of your choice.
