Despite being a foodie and a Greek food fan, I
seldom do minority food hunting in Hong Kong. Somehow only a very small group
of people are into exotic cuisines and very few places seem to be able to do it
right. Wild Thyme’s tasting night a couple weeks ago managed to change my view
by a tiny little bit with their dips platter and kanafeh though.
Wild Thyme started out as a pure vegetarian restaurant that focuses on Middle-Eastern / Mediterranean cuisine and has now grown into catering for non-vegetarians as well with a revamped menu.
So here’s the menu for the night. Quite an extensive one and luckily everything was served in small portion so it’s not too overwhelming by the time we finished everything.
Tabooleh – Italian parsley, cracked wheat, tomato, onion and mint with olive oil dressing
A refreshing and light starter for the night, only a tad too oily.
